Data Science www.reddit.com

In past companies where I worked as a statistician (in the healthcare/insurance industry), the data prep and cleaning were handled by separate teams while I focused on modeling and literature research.

In my current position we have to do everything -- this doesn't seem terribly efficient.

Is this "jack of all trades/master of none" job description standard among other data scientists?
