Counting boxes in the image

How to count the number of similar size objects stacked in multiple levels. There are few softwares like countthings which can count the objects from the front view of the image. I am pretty new to ML. Do we need to take both front view, top view and side view of the stack separately and ask the model count from that or can it count from the isometric view itself?
