[D] How to evaluate an 'AI' company/project?

Like you all know, the current trend is 'AI' and specifically 'Generative AI'. There are an unlimited number of pitch decks floating around in the private investment ecosystem.

But how do I evaluate the technology aspect of a company? What kind of questions should I ask the founder(s) who're claiming to be building the 'next big thing'?
