Rosenbrock function is non-convex, but has exactly one local minimum. Is there a specific name for such functions? Are there any theorems about them? Any special optimization algorithms?

On the first glance, while being non-convex, they seem to be "easier" to optimize than functions that have multiple local minima, such as Rastrigin function.
