I'm preparing for an MLE interview and I've noticed that some companies ask candidates to implement models or layers from research papers during their interviews.

Could you recommend some NLP research papers that I can practice my implementation skill with PyTorch? I guess the papers used in interviews are challenging and yet manageable within the scope of a 1-hour interview. Thank you!

Some classic papers I can think of:

- multi-head attention
- BERT
- GPT-2
