[D] Workflow for personal projects - Cloud GPU providers

So with work I am accustomed to having my laptop that I use VS Code to remote SSH into a linux machine with NVIDIA GPUs. I want to try and find a similar environment for my personal projects. I won't be doing anything crazy (\~100 hours a month) but most of the options I have looked at (colabs, paperspace gradient, etc) are notebook based and do not give me the flexibility I desire.
