Anyone working as a Data Scientist after transitioning from a Social Science/Humanities PhD?

Hello all! I’m in my last year of a biomedical anthropology PhD program and I’m interested in going into data science. I’m wondering if anyone has done something similar? Is there anyone with a graduate degree that is not from the typical “hard quantitative” fields working as a data scientist now? What was that like?
