Are there any benefits of using two Nvidia RTX 4090 in a single computer?

Hey everyone! I'm diving into my PhD focusing on deep learning, I've got a chance to get two RTX 4090s from my faculty. However, I've learned that the 4090s don't support SLI or NVLink, suggesting that communication between the cards might not be very efficient.
