Arrow Detection and Classification

Hi all,

I want to detect and classify an arrow into left and right in real-time. The arrow is black on a white background. I've tried a lot of approaches but my algorithm is not robust. It only works when I hold the arrow in the exact correct orientation and close to the camera. Even the slightest of orientation change fails with my algorithm.
