Artificial Intelligence In Games

We have the sort of "AI" in games which is just programming logic, not really AI. And now there are companies promoting "AI" NPCs in games. But it seems to me if you have a real AI it could create a new game every time the player plays, within certain parameters. I was wondering if there are any examples of someone doing this out there.
