I'm just thinking about how camera calibration is handled during the lifecycle of a robot equipped with cameras.

During manufacturing, calibration tools based on patterns can be used (e.g. [https://github.com/ethz-asl/kalibr](https://github.com/ethz-asl/kalibr)). However, once you deliver this robot to a customer the camera calibration may deviate further and further from reality as the robot is used.

How do companies generally handle this problem?

Are there tools similar to [kalibr](https://github.com/ethz-asl/kalibr) that can calibrate cameras based on other features found in the images?
