Can I succeed in data science with terrible proof skills?

I graduated from a top STEM school with a math degree, but I absolutely suck at proofs or any sort of derivation questions. I am alright with computational or conceptual type of questions, so is it still possible to succeed in data science? And also, based on your experience, are top data science master's programs proof-heavy?
