[D] Any way to increase efficiency of my proposed RTX 3080 eGPU setup (performance per $)

I was able to get my hands on a RTX 3080 12GB for $300. (This is not for gaming, strictly for ML.)

I have a Dell Vostro 7620 laptop (i7 12700H, 40GB DDR5, RTX 3050 4GB dGPU) with an open TB4 port.

I am purchasing a TH3P4G3 for \~$110 and a XPG Core Reactor 750 Gold for \~$95.

Is there anything I'm missing or is there any way I can more efficiently spend my money (performance per $ spent)?
