First off i want to explain my knowledge on the subject. Currently AI in video games are fairly simplistic following very basic commands such as "see enemy, alerted, attack", but machine learning takes AI in a different direction by giving the point based scoring (like gold stars for kids) and knowledge of controls then let loose to develop by itself often resulting very slow but intelligent growth.
