What is required of me to be able to develop a completely new algorithm, especially in artificial intelligence? I have read extensively on this topic, and the reality is that the results were very discouraging. Some say you need a Ph.D. or at least a master's degree, and others say you must be proficient in statistics, probability, mathematics, calculus, and so on.
