[D] Conjecture: If no further advances in deep learning models were made what would happen?

It seems like we're all riding high on the basis of LLMs, or at least a part of the industry is.

I want to imagine what might happen if we don't have another breakthrough and discuss. For my part it seems like expectations are normal for some people and companies and stratospheric for others. But I may just not differentiate signal from noise well given the loudest voices
