I just started my FAANG interviews and am curious if you need a flawless six hours of interviews to be offered a position as an MLE or applied/research scientist on a product facing team in the current conditions. I have been reading many posts on the leetcode subreddit about failing one portion of the interview and being rejected. This is making me wonder whether the competition is truly this cut-throat.
