Suppose you have a dataset **A** for *animals*, and you have another random sample **B** from ImageNet which can contain images from *any* class.

Now we would like to measure the similarity between **A** and **B -** for example, a metric that says:

"***B is 50% similar to A: 50 percent of the images of B were classified under some animal class."***

The problem with the above is that it is kind of subjective as to what constitutes an *animal …
