I was given a Macbook Pro (not an M1) and expected to develop locally but train on shared GPU resources. I was pointed to the repositories on Gitlab, told which tools the team used (docker, jupyter, etc), manually given access to datasets that I mounted on my machine, and was left to set things up myself.
