[D] Looking for a paper

I'm trying to find a paper regarding spatial embeddings which reformulated it as finding embeddings with a good cross-correlation (e.g. gaussian). From what I remember they simply used some gaussian noise with a smoothing kernels over a grid to get their embeddings.
