My use case is really, really simple: I'm extracting SBERT embeddings from sentences and checking for similarity. I don't want to have to use the SBERT library every single time, especially if a sentence has been previously queried, so I thought of using a simple mySQL database to store previous queries, so I can run a quick check against this "cache".
Then I learned about vectorDBs and I got a little confused, because these things seem so much more complex …
