[D] Training Neural networks on AWS EC2

Can anyone share a workflow for setting training neural nets on AWS. I have already created my AMI for the instance I will be using. I am just looking for some additional info and help on cloning repos and then running main scripts and if I want to save checkpoints what directory should I put them in so I can reinitialize a model.

I would preferably avoid using Docker if at all possible but if that is the only way …
