Data science as a math major

Hello! I am an undergraduate student majoring in applied mathematics. I have always loved coding and solving problems using programs. For my major I didn't choose CS because I heard it was very tough academically, even though I always wanted to work in the tech field. Now my department covers a lot of mathematics heavy courses.
