In 2017, an 'obsessive learner' named Max Deutsch challenged the world chess champion magnus carlsen ( r/magnuscarlsen not r/wesleyso ) to chess after a month of learning. Well, e didn't actually train. E was supposed to create an algorithm and then...I guess let a bot based on the algorithm play against magnus.
