[Discussion] Why does this code example on keras use linear activation function for dcgans discriminator?

The link below shows an implementation of a adaptive discriminator augmenter. In the code, there is no use of a popular activation function such as sigmoid in the final dense layer for the discriminator.
However, I do notice that there is a function called "step" that is used to transform the output values from the discriminator to be between 0 and 1. However, he does not call this function when calculating the generator and discriminator loss. So from my understanding …
