Ecommerce - Churn Model

I have recently started to work as an data scientist in an Ecommerce. The team is pretty new and I am trying to figure out some projects I could work on.
That being said, I thought about a Churn/repurchase model only based on information about the customer first order. i.e predicting if a customer will buy again in the next X days or not (churn) using nothing more than his first order variables.
Is this reasonable ? Anyone …
