Data Science www.reddit.com

I just got an offer for an environmental data science masters at a reputable school, and it actually has a lot of emphasis on engineering applications and computational science (ie geology, planetary science, environment). I’ve read up on it and seen many papers on using data science on those specific fields and it seems interesting, but are these careers comparable to standard corporate DS Careers salary-wise? Are there even many openings available?

Note - i’m not based in US but …
