I'd like to get into the data science industry after spending 8 years in the academia side of data science. I can confidently say that I have a solid foundation on the theoretical side of data science and I have done some computer programming for my thesis and other projects, but I fear that I lack the industry-grade experience to pursue a career in the corporate world.
