Got a masters in AI for robotics - can I land a more general DS/MLE job?

Got a masters in AI for robotics. Reinforcement learning, simultaneous localization and mapping, and computer vision. Probably 50% RL, 20% SLAM, 20% CV, and 10% miscellaneous robotics.
Unfortunately, RL is a waaaaay smaller field than I was lead to believe - and even robotics in general is pretty small right now.
I'm hoping to apply to general DS/MLE jobs as a way to increase the pool of jobs I can apply to. However, my undergrad was in electrical engineering, …
