Having trouble while applying for internships. Any suggestions?

For context, I finished the first semester of my master's in DS and I've been applying for internships for the past few weeks, with absolutely no luck. Haven't had a single interview yet. For now, my German is not good enough so I am limited to positions in English, which I fear are more competitive.

Is there anything really bad standing out and are there any certificates or online courses that I could do to improve my CV?
