How big of a jump is it from Data Scientist to ML Engineer?

I'm considering applying for a Machine Learning Engineer position with my company. I already work as a Data Scientist. I've developed a great reputation and most of the executives know who I am and frequently ask for my input on things. I'm happy with my job, but unfortunately, it feels a bit dead-end'ish.
