How do u rate MATLAB for data science applications

So, I'm an electrical graduate and there the only thing we have learned was MATLAB. Now have completed some basic data science courses (stats, prob, and R) and enrolled myself in MS DS.
I had some hands on practice on MATLAB, and till now (it's my start) I can manage any analysis on it. Although python is a lot similar to MATLAB, but u know remembering functions is the most tedious task of learning a programming language (and then there's …
