How exactly does this work when going to production?

I am still new to using OpenCV and ML. I have a very good concept and I would love to test the idea out by building a prototype.
I find it a bit hard to wrap my head around getting my (future) OpenCV project into a production/prototype worthy space. From my testing, I run the project on a computer (and I hope to run my prototype on a RPI).
