I am thinking in upgrading my old macbook to a new one, and I am reading about the unified memory. So I was wondering from the theoretical and real word experience, which is the biggest model that you can fit in your computer?

I am not going to be training big models, probably just inference and maybe fine tuning some small ones. But for example given 18Gb of unified memory, can I load a 12Gb model? or 2/3 models that …
