On my list of books I want to read are "Introduction to Statistical Learning" and "Elements of Statistical Learning". I'd like to develop a rough estimate of how much time I'll have to set aside for the reading.

How do I best read these books? Back-to-back? 15 minutes every day? Spaced out with several days' breaks in between? I'd assume that doing the exercises is crucial? Is it meaningful to read both books?
