I'm looking to build a soccer simulator similar to the one in the image. What is the best approach to cameras for this project? I need to be able to capture the position of the ball as it travels from the point on the ground to the screen.

Would 2 simple webcams, stereo calibrated, each mounted in the air on either side of the person, facing towards the ball, be suitable?
Or would something like an Intel RealSense be more accurate for this situation?
I would like to maximise accuracy, for a reasonable cost.
