I was looking into interpretability of a Random Forest Models. I found this paper where they describe a method of selecting a representative decision tree from an ensemble of decision trees.
In the paper they describe three methods of creating these representive trees. In the conclusion they state the Syntactic Similarity Algorithm (SySM) works the best.
