Interview process for Heads/Directors or any general managerial position related to DS and MLE?

I'm interested to gain some more insight into the interview process for management and above. Was it similar in scope to a regular interview with a multi-step process including a collection of technical interviews and skills assessments or is more emphasis placed on soft skills? Any information is very much appreciated.
