Is it just me, or have there been a lot of data science job postings lately that require skills in data engineering?

Not only with job postings, but I know a few individuals who work as data scientists at reputable companies, and often they are tasked with the responsibilities of a data engineer. I believe the issue stems from a lack of data literacy among companies and data managers.
