Do you think it's possible to learn CompLing/ML by yourself? I noticed that the university programs I was interested in have a lot of "clutter" that isn't really necessary for programming. (Besides, I already have an MA degree.) I heard that many people learn it by taking classes on Coursera. Is it possible? (I'm persistent, I've already taught myself Chinese.)
