LSTM for Seasonal weather

Deep Learning experts of Reddit. I wanted to know what would be the best approach to predict highly imbalanced weather features.

So, the problem at hand for me is I have to predict rainfall patterns for a region which experiences rainfall just 4 months a year , this makes the data highly imbalanced as more than 70% of it is just zeroes(no rain).Will Choosing just the monsoon months with a padding of couple of non-monsoon months do the trick or …
