Managers without a tech/ data background

A little context before I jump into my question.

I work as a DS at a marketing firm. Specifically I work in the Data Team that does not touch marketing at all, which is a bit ironic imo. And my managers has limited knowledge with data / tech in general. They are mainly business analyst.
