Market rates for freelance CV engineering?

I’m a ML PhD student from a top-10 program in the US taking a year off to experiment with computer vision freelancing.

I’m speaking with a few friends who run CV or CV-adjacent startups, and am wondering: what are market rates for this sort of work? Both for those early-career and for those who are well-established, with a PhD and a couple years’ experience.
