This [article](https://www.therobotreport.com/ingenuity-helicopter-state-estimation-localization/) mentions that Ingenuity is using visual odometry with features via FAST. Looking at some of the Mars pictures shows some terrains which lacks feature. I wonder what was the reason behind not using deep-stereo VSLAM approach.
