Matlab deep learning skills as good as python?

I’m new to machine learning/ deep learning. Going through deep learning courses for image processing aspect of my research. Also, was thinking to improve my skills to enable job search which makes me want to know if deep learning skills in python such as tensor flow and PyTorch is superior to Matlab in any way in the job market baring the fact that python is open source.
