Neural Architecture Search (NAS) - Questions and Practice

The goal of NAS is to find an optimal architecture of a neural network for a given problem. In my case, I am interested in creating an algorithm for finding the architecture of a Convolutional Neural Network for an Image dataset.
The problem with any NAS algorithm is that the only true way to know if a created architecture is good is by running the model to convergence, thus increasing computational resources spent.
