I am a nobody who has created his own neuroevolution algorithm for lack of alternatives.
It works quite well so far, but I ran into a problem just before finalising it and hope that someone can give me some good advice.

The algorithm (like so many others) is based on a population of genomes. At the end of each generation, a proportion (configurable parameter) of the worst genomes is deleted and the remaining proportion is used for mating.
