We wanted to share a library that we've been working on for a while. It's called [`OcrPy`](https://github.com/maxent-ai/ocrpy) - a Python library for doing OCR++.
At its core the library aims to unify a multitude of OCR systems (commercial & open-source) and provides a consistent and unified interface, along with a lot of additional functionalities that are usually really useful in practice - such as identifying the type of documents, the different types of layout's they come in etc …
