I’m currently working with some data between -.5 and .5 predicting a single variable using a simple neural network running relu and elu. Unfortunately I have a high variability in the number of input variables in each sample. My current thought process is to pad the data, as losing data would be awful, but what value should I use to pad it. Should I use 0 or a value outside of my data range like -1?
