I just started a position which incorporates data analysis to address equality issues. as more of a quantitative person, I am a pretty firm believer in the power of data, rigorously understanding/documenting limitations and the scientific process of drawing out conclusions (which 100% requires thorough lit review).

I met with my team this morning, and everyone seemed super against the term "data-driven". Many of them are from humanities backgrounds and were very concerned about the notion of (maybe?) reducing people …
